Today we are curating the rest of the Until 17 exhibition, bringing all the work together and looking at how they fit together – it could be a long day and tomorrow is the official opening with the preview starting at 6.00pm – where has the time gone?
The vinyl for the windows and doors was installed today, another exciting but scary moment seeing my name as part of the artists exhibiting in Unit 17!
We have stated the installation, with two of the pieces that have been created by Em Smith and Katie Gammage as they have been working with specific locations in within the ‘gallery’ in mind.
Today is all about the glamour behind the scene work like shopping for paint, brushes nails etc to spruce the space up. Doing more flyer drops and pushing the exhibition on social media etc!
It's also the time to finish pieces off, sorting out framing, revisiting pieces etc.
The next big 'event' will be the hang!
The exhibition will be taken on tour around the city of Sheffield to 5 arts venues and events including the Millennium Gallery, Bank Street Arts, Gage Gallery, HillsFest16, Sheffield Hallam Students' Union and all work will be showcased in a final exhibition at SIA Gallery in September 2016.

Exciting but daunting news!
Today was the initial planning meeting for the 16 Exhibition. We each described our pieces and what technical issues might arise. For my piece I need a plinth the height of which should allow people to look down into the box and as the bones are quite fragile a cover to protect them.
